The ministry of KJIL is humbled and honored by the Emmanuel’s continued support through the years.
Our focus is to encourage believers daily and to introduce the Lord to those who don’t have a personal relationship with Him.
KJIL, is a listener supported, non-profit (501C3) ministry and part of “Kansas birthed”- Great Plains Christian Radio. Besides 105.7fm, we serve with Central Kansas frequencies in Clay Center, Belleville, Scandia, Junction City, Manhattan, Salina, Hutchinson, McPherson and Emporia. These additional signals are operated from our studio in Abilene. With integrated technology, the music and Biblical programs are also heard worldwide through online streaming and smart phone apps.
KJIL is a lot of equipment, but most importantly local people who are called to serve the Lord and live in the Heartland; along with and just as members of the Emmanuel congregation. We’ve been dubbed as the local missionaries “that work, right in your own backyard.”
EUMC’s support helps KJIL not only with the daily broadcast operation, we also facilitate and promote outreach like concerts, Biblical teaching, marriage and family events.
Support also helps KJIL obtain and distribute multiple thousands of the quarterly devotional “The Word for You Today” that is provided at no charge to individuals, families, support groups, and area churches. The devotional is also given four times a year to the Kansas Prison system and area county corrections facilities.
The ministry has also become a “Christian resource hub” for listeners and churches. We are in relationship with many other area and national para-church ministries.
KJIL is one of the dwindling “ma and pa” Christian radio groups left nationally. The majority of Christian broadcast stations now are national, satellite driven signals. That’s why the GPCR Board of Directors instills staff to minister locally to impact people with the Gospel.
The Bible reminds us that all things are the Lord’s. We also know He gives all of us stewardship of them to be used as vessels for His Presence and Glory. Our daily prayer is focused on all come to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ” 2 Peter 3:18.
The EUMC family is always invited to visit the studio. It’s an honor to serve the Lord with you.
